This piece is a fantastic, fuchsia, ceramic vase that was made with thick, square coils. I gently twisted the ends of the coils inward and upward, to give the vase a unique feel architecturally.
On the outside, the color is a glossy fuchsia with a mottled green top and on the inside, a matte shade of dusty rose.
It’s a chunky, expressive vase that’s well-suited for coffee-table arrangements because of its small size.
It could also be perfect for an intimate table centerpiece due to its short stature (since a centerpiece should be low to the table to enable conversation – yes, I worked in the floral industry for a long time.)
If you’re so inclined, you could even use it to hold paper clips and be a decorative paper weight on your desk…I leave it up to your imagination.

A side-note on creation: each of my ceramic pieces is fired in my hand-built, portable, propane-fired kiln, which I buy carbon offsets for every time I fire a new batch of ceramic art work.
